As soluções de Paul Krugman para a crise económica europeia

“It has been kind of a race between us and the Europeans to see who can do worse and for the time being they’re winning (…) the people suffering the most had nothing to do with creating this crisis (…) Iceland was supposed to be the ground zero of the financial crisis (…) they devalued their own currency and now they have a lower unemployment rate than us (…) they stiffed their investors and now they’re back in the international markets (…) no country that has its own currency is experiencing those problems(…)”

“The Spanish government did nothing wrong (...) government austerity makes the slump deeper (…) break-up of the Euro; alternatives: Europe-wide solutions (…) higher rate of inflation for Europe as a whole and in particular in Germany (…) let us reason together (…) the current path won’t work out (…) if the Euro fails, it will be a defeat to the European project.”

Se alguém encontrar a entrevista completa digam, eu só vejo estes dois pedacinhos.
